Developing Future Female Leaders
Many of today's global female leaders are a part of the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Movement. Sally Ride, the first female astronaut, Sandra Day O'Connor who made history as the Supreme Court's first female justice, the Olave Baden-Powell Society's Patron, HRH Princess Benedikte of Denmark and Benefactor, HRH Her Majesty Queen Azizah of Malaysia, just to name a few.
But did you know that currently only 29% of the leadership roles within the global workplace are held by women? We want every girl to be able to take part in the leadership journey of her choice, and for you to play a part in creating the next generation of female leaders.
Donate today to invest in the leaders of tomorrow by supporting young women to take part in WAGGGS innovative leadership programmes such as the Juliette Low Seminar and Helen Storrow Seminar. Support us in working towards our mission of ensuring that by 2021, 100,000 girls and young women have accessed new opportunities to develop their leadership practice.
Among all the leadership training I've been to; this is by far the best ever that made a huge impact on me. It creates a safe space for girls to grow without any judgement, and develops our potential based on our own leadership journey. Now that I'm fired up with the guiding spirit, to the youths of Malaysia, look out because you are going to see that girl guiding will provide you an incredible journey.
